I'm about due, so here goes...
I haven't written anything in a while, so I figured it was about that time. There are a few reasons I haven't been posting lately. First of all, I've been crazy busy. I'm taking 9 credit hours, have basketball league Monday nights, work 40+ hours per week, then have homework, housework, family responsibilities, etc. Oh, that and I'm lazy. Typing just requires too damn much energy.
Wedding planning is coming along well. We decided the general layout of the ceremony, but haven't yet looked for an officient. I'd be more comfortable with a female, but we'll see. I guess I'm just having opposing thoughts about this whole wedding thing. I don't want my dad to walk me down the isle because this is my decision, not his, and he's not giving me away, I'm offering myself. Adam and I decided that we'll walk down together as equals. We also may hyphenate both our names to be Arnold-Zimmer or Zimmer-Arnold. Still debating on that one (although my vote is a selfish one).
School is going OK. I really want to just buy Adobe CS2, but I can't justify the $500+ price tag, even as a student. The best thing about taking these classes thus fas has been that my SIUE student loans have gone back into deferment. I am learning, though. I don't look at Photoshop like it is an evil beast now and my HTML is certainly getting cleaner. I really like this instructor better than my last one for that class. By business class is pretty darn easy (as in all the tests are open notes), but I am learning and there's a pretty good mix of middle/lower class people in it, so the opinions and subject matter are often pretty interesting.
I can honestly say that I enjoy my job. I feel like I am always learning, like I have some say in company goings-on, that my boss trusts me, and that I am genuinely needed around the office. While Adam insists I am too smart for the position, I like the benefits package and the flixibility of working for a small company, so I'm not going anywhere for a while, I think. We have a really good, honest, dependable team here right now that we have every reason to be proud of.
Silly is still a bad kitty, but he's his mommy's baby. I'm an awful kitty parent, as I wish I could spend more time with him, so I spoil him with treats and toys. :-) I just really can't wait to get a house.
Well, I'm just about out of time. Have a great weekend and I hope to update again soon!
